The outbreak of hepatitis A in Apatiti. Epidemiologists say that there hasn’t been such situation for the last ten years. More than 50 sick people – all of them are people of different social status, of different age, all of them live in different parts of the town. Epidemiologists suggest that the fusion of the excrement masses by one of the investigator isolation ward in Apatity within five meters from the water – supplies might have caused the outbreak of this disease. The head of the Epidemiologist Control Center in the Murmansk Region Marina Filenko is sure, that: "It’s not the fault of only one investigator isolation ward. There are many establishments that don’t have their own sewage system and that don’t process the excrements according to the standards, that’s why we have to find out the real cause." The results of the analysis of water samples will be ready only in a week. And approximately the same period of time is necessary to cure hepatitis A. According to the doctors, there are all necessary medicines in the hospitals of the town. In this struggle against the outbreak of this disease, they use almost military terms.
Deputy chief doctor of the epidemiologist center says: "If we manage to orient the population, localization and abolition of the consequences will come faster." Wash your hands and boil the water! The strongest weapon against hepatitis "A" – is hygiene.
In Murmansk the annual city contest "I am the student" started. As its organizers Youth Committee and Student Council notice, this year it differs greatly from the previous contests. One hundred students of the higher educational establishments and colleges decided to prove that they are the best. But by far not all of them will get the laurels of the winners. The jury must chose only 3 laureates. But last year 4 candidates were chosen. This year there are fewer nominations, but more people want to take part in the contest and this fact makes the organizers happy. The nominations are the following: "The best student of the higher educational establishment, the best student of college" and "The best freshman". As a rule, the more participants there are, the stronger is the competition. But correspondingly in that case there are also fewer chances to win. But it doesn’t frighten the participants of the contest, it inspires them. The winners will be chosen according to their leader qualities and their active life position. In other words, the more good deeds, aimed at the welfare of the city and the students they make, the more chances to become one of the best three students they have
