The New Year meetings of Farther Frost with the children of the Kola Peninsula have started today. The children from the children’s home in Monchegorsk first came to their favorite fairytale character. The host himself with Snegurochka and with his suite greeted the guests. And from the mighty pine-tree almost tame ermine looked at the children. The polar residence of Farther Frost was opened on the territory of the Lapland State Reserve several years ago. The staff of the reserve initiated the creation of this residence, and the financial support was and is being given by the neighboring enterprises, especially Kola Metallurgical Enterprise. "This enterprise spent 2 million rubles to built Farther Frost’s house, information center, museum, and some other objects," the director of the reserve Serge Shestakov said. And some days ago they presented four new snowmobiles that is so important for protection of Farther Frost’s territory.
