The Murmansk custom officers have discovered the consignment of virulent substances in the international printed matter. According to the northwestern customs administration, the tablets of tramadol were sent to the Murmansk region from Germany. The printed matter was addressed to the citizen of the Murmansk region. The administrative proceeding has been instituted. The tablets have been confiscated and sent to the Murmansk customs for keeping.
From 13th of January till 13th of February in the city exhibition hall in Petrozavodsk the exhibition of young artists from the Murmansk region is to take place. Acquaintance of the citizens of Petrozavodsk with works of artists from other cities and regions of Russia, that has already become a part of tradition continues this year as well. This time four young artists from the Murmansk region have presented their works – Dmitriy Novitskiy from Kirovsk, Alexander Sidorov from Murmansk, Eugene Schneider from Monchegorsk and Alexander Harlamov from Severomorsk. The first letters of these city names make the abbreviation "KMMS" – that is the name of their small creative group. This group has been existing since 2000 and from the very beginning the artists display their works on different regional and international exhibitions. The new exhibition in the city hall for the first time presents the works of young artists from the Murmansk region. It includes painting, drawing, objects and installations, creative way of thinking and the perception of the world of young generation of artists, living in the Northwest of Russia.
