" Russia possesses fantastic abilities for building tide electric power stations", – said on Tuesday Anatoly Chubais, the chairman of RAO "EAS" board, to Murmansk journalists, after visiting the only one in Russia Kislogubskaya experimental tide electric power station. "If technology, we have seen today not in drawings but in real life on the example of Kislogubskaya tide Electric Power Station, will corroborate supposed parameters, we will take a very large scale decision, of unique importance. According to A.Chubais, 2 years ago on one conference in one research institute scientists told the leaders of RAO "EAS" about their discovery. Here they meant the creation of orthogonal turbine, able to rotate only in one direction, without dependence on rise and fall of the tide. "This discovery seemed a bit abstract, but nevertheless it was decided to implement it here, on the Kola Peninsula", – notices Chubais. He also added that this task was fulfilled within 2 years. "It’s not just the first restored tide electric power station in Russia, it is the first in the world orthogonal aggregate, created by our scientists, and functioning on the tide power station", – noticed the leader of RAO. He also marked, that the specialists have much to do in future, as at the moment they are talking about experiment-industrial exploitation of the station. "But those parameters, that are visible nowadays can become real large scale breakthrough not on the Russian, but on the world level", – said the chairman of RAO "EAS" board. The only one in Russia experimental Kislogubskaya tide electric power station (belonging to "Kolenergy") after ten year stoppage, was put into operation again in December 2004. It became possible due to installation of new orthogonal hydro-aggregate, that opens great opportunities of industrial usage of ecologically clean and renewable sources of energy, reminded in "Kolenergy".

Perhaps due to the spirits or to the efforts of the organizers, but the holiday turned out well. Those who wanted, could try venison, this is the indispensable attribute of Saami celebrations. It was a real fun: dances and songs together with real interest of the Murmansk citizens. In spite of the fact, that Saami people live on the territory of the Kola Peninsula for several thousand years, their culture remains exotic for people of Murmansk.
