Trade Union is intended in the near future to appeal to the public prosecutor’s department with the request to call the joint-stock company "Lovozerstroy" to account. We’ll remind you, that hunger strike of the builders from Lovozero continues for four days. The workers occupied two flats of the new building they built themselves. On the 9th of February one more person joined the builders and all in all 32 people participate in the action. . Once a day the ambulance comes to the hunger strikers. The chronic diseases, they suffer from, become worse due to nervous breakdown and starvation. The builders didn’t get money for 7 months. People in despair are going to be on strike until they get the complete liquidation of the debt. The debt is 1 million 670 thousand. The administration of the Lovozero district offers to pay to each builder only 600 rubles. They refused to get the money. The chairman of the regional department of Trade Union Yuri Savakov communicated with the builders and said that it is possible to liquidate the debt, having got the credit on salary debt liquidation. But anyway, Yuri Savakov believes that it will take about one month to find the necessary sum. As it became known, there is no trade union on the enterprise. That’s why, as the specialists from the regional department of the Trade Union think, the situation has gone too far, but at the moment it is under control. The representatives of the regional Trade Union are sure, that "some officials must be called to account."
There are 36 enterprises where the salary is not paid regularly. Mostly, these are private companies. And as a rule there are no Trade Unions, that could inform controlling bodies about these problems with the salaries.
Contacts with the northern neighbors are the essential condition of the development for the Northern Chamber of Commerce. This year, within the framework of the Kola Partneriat will be discussed the programs of cooperation between Russia, Norway, Finland and Sweden. They are planned for two years and are being worked out now. Businessmen of northern countries have become steady partners for many years of collaboration. And the experience of foreign partners becomes more and more important. The Chambers of Commerce from Norway, Finland and Sweden have brought to Murmansk their pilot project. In its basis are the regular meetings of the businessmen from the four countries for the discussion of the further cooperation.
The president of the Chamber of Commerce from Lapland region (Finland) Timmari Utaekki believes that: "The meetings must be organized not only by the officials, but by the businessmen as well. Only in that case the results will be obvious. Such meetings are very important for the whole Euro – arctic region. At the moment subcontracting is being discussed. When our enterprises can do some works on the territory of Russia. And we have already such kind of experience."
From the Finnish point of view, the most perspective branches of cooperation are mechanical building and building. Norwegian side is a good partner in the fishing industry. For our region such contracts play a very important part. The membership on the World Trade Organization is not far off. And for successful development Russian enterprises will have to observe international standards.

This company produces seals, compressions, protective coverings for metal and concrete, and also chemicals for servicing and repair of the equipment. This well-known American Company, founded in 1884, was presented in the northwestern part of Russia by the firm "Temotex", regional distributor of "Chesterton". This company started exploration of Russian market only several years ago.
The main idea of the company’s functioning, expressed on the presentation, was the offer to the industrial companies such technical technologies, that help the enterprises function safer, more efficient and economic. The specialists of the Kola Nuclear Power Plant expressed some interest to the production of the company. Of course they need some time to get acquainted with the innovatory technologies of the company "Chesterton", but it is obvious, that the perspectives of the further cooperation with the company are quite favorable.
