The second auction on the crab catching quota selling took place in Moscow on the European-Asian market. The fishermen from Murmansk also participated in the auction. According to the participants of the first and the second auctions, the price that seemed to be extremely high on the first auction became starting prices on the second one. The general manager of the company "Froster" Andrew Ivanov said: "The quotes were mainly bought by the financial-industrial groups, not by the fish-catching enterprises." The lots at the auction were sold for more than 50 million rubles. Drawing the conclusion, we can say, that only several companies will catch crabs in the Barents Sea. This fact has both advantages and disadvantages. As Andrew Ivanov noticed: "The advantages are the following – the economy will by transparent. It will be clear, what companies are interested in civilized methods of crab catching, and what companies are involved into poaching. The major disadvantage is that we have paid 35 million for the quote, but the minimal fishing loading doesn’t let us put out to sea. Although this issue wasn’t discussed in the auction." In other words, having given 1 million dollars for the crabs to the state, for the crabs that have not been caught yet, you can’t put out to sea. The legislation should be changed. But such things happen rarely. The whole situation is the following: science must have let crab catching long before. But the scientists lingered, the prices increased, the fishermen overpaid, and in spite of this fact, not all of them can catch crabs.
The equipment for Norwegian gas and oilrigs will be produced in Murmansk. Norwegian Company "Reinetsen AS" and "Murmansk shipyard" concluded an agreement on partnership. Pre-fabricated modules for the rigs, produced by the Company "Statoil" are to be ready in a couple of months. But in the building of the future factory one can see only scrap metal. But the Norwegian side seemed to be satisfied with the building: high ceilings, productive area of more than 2,000 square km, track to the berth. As the production director of the company "Reinetsen" (Norway) noticed: "We like this place. We are going to produce steel constructions, I think you have experienced and good specialists." Murmansk welders and frame workers are highly appreciated in Norway. The first enrolment to the enterprise consisted of 20 people. It is more likely, that there will be competition, and it is decided, that the workers will on-the-job training abroad. At the moment the Norwegian side is working out the social security agreement, where will be specified all labor conditions. The executive director of "Murmansk shipyard" says: "The youngsters are in the state of transition, they demand respect and deserving salary. We shall invite the workers to the special selection. I am sure, that for those, who will work there will be created normal labor conditions and they will get deserving salary." Norwegian delegation visited the factories in Archangelsk, but they chose Murmansk. The modules for the oilrigs will be produced in Murmansk, and will be brought to Norway by sea. The modules will be assembled in Norway. The Norwegian side will manage the process and the quality Norwegian Company is tended to cooperate with "Statoil". But according to the specialists, the expectations of oil makes them occupy the place on the service market. The new factory is to start functioning in April. Thomas Reinertsen noticed: "We have to carry out big amount of repair works in this workshop." The project is to be financed by the Norwegian side. The first step is lighting and heating, repair and equipment assembly.
