Two -storied building on Sverdlova Street in Murmansk used to quarter the municipal boarding house, later the building was badly destroyed. Nowadays it is being reconstructed. The first in the region billiards school will be placed here. Nowadays it is not the characteristic of Russian businessmen to support such project. Murmansk seems to be lucky exclusion. The heads of the municipal Sport Committee have been drawing the representatives of small and middle business to the building and reconstruction of sport facilities. And businessmen not only respond to these wishes, they even head Sport Federations. On thousand square meters of this building will be placed not only billiard tables. It is planned to organize the museum of sport, gymnasium and swimming pool. The building is going at high rate. In April it is planned to open the hall with the Russian billiards. Billiard Federation has been existing in Murmansk for six years. And the dream of having its own house seems to become true. As the chairman of the Sport Committee of municipal administration noticed: "All people we meet become our friends." Billiard players are especially thankful to the municipal administration of Murmansk. Three months ago they appealed with the request to give them separate premises. And already on the 11th January the works started. But the first billiard complex is just the beginning. It is planned to create such complexes in Oktjabersky and Pervomaysky districts.
